Chapter 23 - Attendance: Liberate God

Chapter Summary and Introduction

God placed Adam and Eve at the center of the Garden of Eden. God informed them that they must not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil or they would die. Adam and Eve with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience should have kept God's commandment. Adam and Eve ate of the fruit. Due to their Fall God could no longer dwell inside of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were created to be the temples, the bodies of God. God was imprisoned in Heaven. He had no place on earth where He could dwell. He lost His precious children of love. Satan became their god, ruler, and owner. God had planned to live in the hearts and minds of Adam and Eve. God would have multiplied His lineage through the birth of children from Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve's family would have been a family of love. God would have lived in their family. Their family would have grown to become an ideal tribe, an ideal society, ideal nation, ideal world, and ideal cosmos, and an ideal Culture of Love -- God's Kingdom.

God could not dwell in the hearts and minds of Adam and Eve. There was a new resident there. Satan settled in the minds and hearts of Adam and Eve and has enslaved them through their sin. Satan has used the bodies of Adam and Eve, and subsequently the bodies of everyone born on earth to multiply his false love, false life, and false lineage. It was not until the time of the Israelites under the direction of Moses that God was once again able to dwell on this earth. In the Bible we read, "And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst." (Ex. 25:8-9) God was able to dwell in the most holy place of the Tabernacle and Temple. The high priest was allowed to enter the most holy place once a year. Finally, with the birth of Jesus, God could fully dwell in His most precious son. God could once again fully dwell on earth through Jesus Christ. However, Satan simply had Jesus killed. He destroyed Jesus body where the sinless seeds were. Thus Jesus could not multiply God's lineage and God once again had no place to dwell on earth. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to continue the restoration work of God's providence on earth.

God's providence was delayed for almost 2000 years until the birth of the Lord of the Second Advent. Finally God could once again dwell on earth in His fullness in the mind and heart of His most precious filial son. It is the returning Christ who takes on the task of liberating God. The way to liberate God is to live a life of filial attendance to God with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. True Parents have liberated God through their filial attendance with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience in the individual level, the family level, the tribe, race, nation, world and cosmos. When we attend True Parents with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience we establish the conditions to also liberate God, on the individual level, family level, and tribal level, which is to liberate our lineages. Since the nation, world and cosmos need to be completely liberated then it is by fulfilling our Tribal Messiah activities in the Tong Ban Geokpa community level, then the national, global, and cosmic levels that God can ultimately come to be liberated.

Satan watches over his kingdom. He wants no one to escape. The difference between the angelic world and the Adamic world is the degree of heart and love. No one can escape easily. No one can separate from Satan and liberate God without the display of an utmost degree of true love and undergoing the course of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. The indemnity course is facilitated and made much less by attending True Parents.

God is a God of "han" (pain, suffering, grief, bitter anguish, bitter sorrow and tears). God needs sons and daughters who can undergo such similar agony and endure without complaint by attending God and True Parents with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. Spiritual restoration is the restoration of heart. It is filial sons and daughters who undergo the process of restoration who come to understand the heart of God and are able to liberate God. Filial sons and daughters of God come to understand and experience the Heart of God and seek to comfort Him. However, understanding God's heart of "han" is not enough to liberate God. Filial sons and daughters living a life attending God seek to remove the obstacles and barriers that are causing His "han." These are the sons and daughters who have been liberated from sin and who establish ideal families on earth where God can dwell. These are ideal families who become the representative families of God and True Parents and take on the Father's work and responsibilities for the restoration and liberation of their lineage and tribe, their community, the nation, world and cosmos.

In order to restore the position of sons and daughters of filial piety, we must traverse through the eight vertical stages of restoration, and through the eight horizontal stages of restoration and expansion. We must go through and restore the level of servants of servants, servants, illegitimate children, adopted children, true children, mother and father, and finally liberate God. The restoration of true sons and daughters of God occurs when we restore the elder son's birthright, and then the positions of true parents and finally establishing the positions of tribal king and queen.

Blessed children, having inherited the status of being born as true children in God's lineage, do not need to restore the eight vertical stages. They do need to expand God's lineage through establishing an ideal family and tribe. As members of the Realm of the Royal Lineage they become a people who establish an ideal nation, world and cosmos. These establish the culture of true love of the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven.

To restore and establish the heart of filial piety is not sufficient to completely liberate God. His filial sons and daughters must now restore all the eight horizontal stages where God's heart and love is expressed and multiplied horizontally on earth. Filial sons and daughters must restore the vertical heart of filial piety by which they embody the heart and love of God. This is the First Blessing -- perfection on the individual level. They then they multiply that love horizontally by establishing an ideal family and tribe. In this way they expand their true lineage. These are the representative families of God and True Parents who seek to multiply God's blessings throughout their tribes and communities, their nation, the world and the cosmos. Tribes grow to the racial level and then unite and establish a nation beyond race, they then restore the world and cosmos and finally attain the complete liberation of God.

God seeks to reside in blessed families. Satan is still extremely successful in invading and breaking up blessed families. Blessed families must maintain absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience in God and True Parents and endure the pain and suffering of indemnity experienced while trying to create an ideal family. The weapon of blessed children and ideal families is true love. Only with true love can the barriers which prevent relationships within ideal family from uniting can be removed. Only with true love can an ideal family be realized. At the tribal level Satan has cleverly disabled blessed families by using the fallen environment which surrounds them to create in them a mindset that prevents them from performing their responsibilities as Tribal Messiahs who are the representatives of God and True Parents. It is by with true love, and by accomplishing their responsibilities and duties as God's and True Parents representatives that blessed families go forward to liberate God, True Parents and mankind.

When the liberation of the eight horizontal stages is completed, then the whole cosmos is returned to God. The all-transcendence and all-immanence of God will become one. God's authority will prevail throughout the cosmos. The total liberation of God from His "han" will be accomplished. God will be a new God. He will be a God of joy and glory. God has never been able to fulfill His original ideals of joy and love in His Kingdom. He has instead been a God of grief and suffering. It is filial sons and daughters who begin the process of liberating God and restoring Him as the owner of true love. It is through the liberation of God and of mankind that God establishes His intended Kingdom where all live in freedom, peace, unity and happiness.

It is True Parents who have established oneness in heart with God. It is True Parents who have attended God with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience and established the realm of liberation and complete freedom. It is True Parents who have liberated God. It is by our attendance to True Parents with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience that we can liberate God and True Parents. Human beings have made tremendous effort toward restoring the Parent and child relationship, yet they have been unable to do so. All the sacrifices, all the disciplines, all the religious teachings, all the rituals and ceremonies, and all efforts mankind has made and continues to make fall short of liberating God and reaching the Glory of God.

It is impossible in one's lifetime to fulfill all the necessary indemnity conditions to become one with God. Restoration is a very slow and difficult process. It cannot be accomplished without the messiah, True Parents. It is rather sad to watch so many individuals from all the religions of the world striving to establish oneness with God and fulfill the original purpose of creation. They cannot. Without attending True Parents all fall short. One can receive such tremendous merit in attending True Parents. This is unprecedented in the history of restoration. God and human beings can be liberated.

It is filial sons and daughters who live a life of attendance to God and True Parents and filial families who live a life of attendance to God and True Parents who will sacrifice and endure pain and suffering, with patience and forbearance, until the complete liberation of God. Such filial sons and daughters and filial families are liberated from Satan and sin. Such filial families embody the love of God, and as representatives of God and True Parents, fulfill the task of restoration and kingdom building. With a heart of true parents, true teachers and true owners, as Tribal Messiah's they will take on God and True Parents' work and responsibilities as their own and restore all mankind and return the cosmos back to God as His dwelling place in the intended Original Homeland.

The Words of Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Finding a filial son who can liberate God and also liberate love itself is important. God Himself would also like to be in that position and say, "I wish I could be a filial child once." True Parents also are saying, "I wish I could be a filial child once." How wonderful it would be if there was such a road for God and True Parents to fulfill filial piety together in front of love.

God stands in the position of being the Father who has truly perfected love, and the son fulfills his filial duty based on God's love and the fundamental love of the universe, thus uniting with the Father. How can God pave the way of filial piety of a higher dimension in front of this love? If this had been done, then the Fall would never have happened for all eternity.

This is the realm of the greatest of all liberation. This realm goes beyond the realm of the Principle. It is the original world of true love. When we think about this, then you must not think it is the end when you realize the ideal of the family, the Kingdom of God on Earth, and the Kingdom of God in Heaven. There are still some traces stained by Satan's blood in the internal root, which have to be removed. (300-33, 1999.2.21)

What is the returning Lord supposed to do on earth? He does not come to bring a comfortable life to a few hundred million Christians. He must liberate God. The returning Lord should follow the way of righteousness and fulfill the responsibility to liberate God. (162-186, 1987.4.12) 5.2.

You should consider that the path of God's liberation and completion is the path of restoration which the True Parents have established. Just as the True Parents walked the path of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience before God, you must also walk the same path of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience before the True Parents. Only then shall I, Rev. Moon, follow you around, being on the same level with you. (280-33, 1996.10.13)

No matter what, you must become individuals who can receive all ownership that comes from God's blessing on the family level that I am talking about. To do this, you should love based on absolute faith. You should practice absolute love and absolute obedience. Even if you may have to give up your own family and nation, you must stand on this foundation and become a family that kicks out the first ancestors' sorrow of not having been able to keep the commandment given to them. By doing so, you can go straight to the Kingdom of Heaven as a victorious family of liberation. This is a special grace that is granted by Rev. Moon to you. Indeed, this is a special grace. This victory, in which the children of the Cain-type realm and Abel-type realm were brought together on a universal level and offered to True Parents, enabled the providential realm of ownership to be returned to God. On the basis of this victory, on June 13 of this year, heaven and earth were unified; God and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind were firmly established in their rightful positions through the entrance ceremony into the Cheon Jeong Peace Palace and the coronation for the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind as the King and Queen of Peace in Heaven and on Earth. These events constituted a tremendous victory unprecedented in history. It was a day on which God, who had walked the course of the providence alone in bitter sorrow and in tears over countless years behind the scenes of history, could be liberated, set completely free, and firmly settled into His position as the King and Master of Heaven and Earth. You are now advancing into the era of liberation and complete inner freedom, which is the providential era of the realm of the heart of the fourth Adam. In other words, it is the era after the coming of heaven. This is the time when, metaphorically speaking, the sun is directly overhead, so that no shadow is cast. This signifies that we have passed through the era before the coming of heaven, which included the Old, New and Completed Testament ages. These eras have required immeasurable restitution and atonement in order to re-create the ideal.

The present time, however, corresponds to the era, prior to Adam's Fall, of building the original ideal world. It refers to the era of true love that is all-encompassing, all-powerful and has overall authority. It is the realm of heart in which the spirit world and the physical world are bound together as a unified realm centering on the True Parents, the King and Queen of Peace. In other words it is the era of the kingdom of peace and unity in heaven and on earth. Please become true princes and princesses who can attend and live together with God, the eternal peace king and true parent of humanity. (Messages of Peace 8 -- 116, 2006.10.14)

Ladies and gentlemen, by virtue of Reverend Moon's devotion to the path of heaven throughout the more than eighty years of his life, a new world is emerging. On this victorious foundation, the revolutionary era after the coming of heaven has been proclaimed. We are now living in the age of heavenly fortune, an age in which all people can be liberated and delivered from the quagmire of sin. It is the era in which the world of freedom and happiness, the ideal world as originally intended at the time of creation, can be established. (Messages of Peace 4 -- 64, 2006.6.1)

Do you know the significance of January 13, 2001? It was the day of the Coronation Ceremony for God's Kingship. For countless years Heaven had been waiting for that event in eager anticipation. It was the greatest and most exalted celebration humanity had ever witnessed. On that day, Reverend Moon, who had received the anointing as the True Parent of all humankind and traveled a path of indescribable suffering and pain until he gained the final victory, offered his entire foundation to Heaven. For tens of thousands of years, God had endured an existence full of lamentation and grief, even as He conducted His providence with a parental heart. When that coronation ceremony was offered to Him, it marked the moment of His long awaited liberation and inner freedom. On that providential day, we declared to all heaven and earth that we would attend God as the vertical True Parent and Great King of Heaven and Earth, that we would unfurl and raise high the banner of Cheon Il Guk, and that the new sovereignty of Heaven had begun.

For the next three years, we, the True Parents, held firmly to the helm while the winds of heavenly fortune swirled around us like a typhoon. We dashed forward as though each day were worth a thousand years. Then on the foundation of True Parents' victory, we declared May 5, 2004 the day of Ssang Hab Shib Seung. On that day, the True Parents brought to a close the era before the coming of heaven with its long years of grief, and opened the era after the coming of heaven, the new age when we can build a new heaven and a new earth. This marked the beginning of a great and historic revolution to return the earth to God as a substantial reality. (Messages of Peace 5 -- 72, 2006.6.13)

Please become true princes and princesses who live attending God as your True Parent, for He is the Peace King of the multitudes. Let us build the everlasting peace kingdom by attending the True Parents, who have become the King and Queen of Peace in Heaven and on Earth. Let us build the world of eternal liberation and freedom, where there is no need for a Savior, Messiah or Lord at his second coming, and fulfill the path of a true, devoted child, a patriot, a saint, and a member of the family of God's sons and daughters. In so doing, let us inherit True Parents' victory, their completion of the restoration through indemnity of the realm of three generations, that we may perfect the original world as it would have been but for the Fall! For the first time since the Fall of our original ancestors, history is governed by the True Parents. The original source has emerged that allows us to return to a new world through the internal relationship with True Parents. That relationship can bring Satan to submission. It is the center through which God is to be liberated. You all should offer thanks for the amazing grace of being able to live together with the True Parents and to receive their instructions directly.

When you are completely one with True Parents, your nation, people, tribe and family can prosper. The True Parents are the embodiment and encapsulation of all glory in heaven and earth. Once you clearly understand their value, would you exchange the True Parents for all the money in the world? Their value is such that they cannot be replaced even at the price of your life. (Messages of Peace 14 -- 207, 2007.6.13)

Ladies and gentlemen, God's creation is truly mysterious and profound. God created us as His children and to be the lords of creation. To this end, He gave each of us the highest and greatest gift -- a conscience. This special gift of a conscience is given to us as a compass to guide us through life in this earthly world. We can say that our lifespan may be one hundred years. Regardless of who we are, from the moment of our birth to the moment we die we cannot escape the influence of our conscience.

The most elevated function of the conscience is its role as our true parent, true teacher and true owner. In other words, our conscience acts as a true parent, true teacher and true owner on behalf of God, guiding our lives and educating us from the time we are born. Our conscience functions as a guide, keeping watch over our every action at every moment. It is aware of our every word, thought and deed even before our parents, our teachers or God are. God infused into the conscience the fundamental function of guiding and supervising our lives.

Yet the conscience, which should be clear as crystal, has been clouded due to the Fall and is now unable to fully manifest its original function amid all manner of sin and spiritual sickness. That is why you must become people who can listen to the voice of your conscience, and cry out to be liberated even one day sooner and given innermost freedom from this evil world that is under Satan's dominion.

However, there is no way for fallen people to restore the original function of the conscience by their own power. This is because they have not established a direct vertical relationship with God. The six and a half billion people in the world today are all off at a tangent, each and every one living under the illusion of being genuine and the best in his or her field. However, no one will be able to find the path to salvation until someone reaches the absolute standard of a direct ninety-degree angle relationship with God. (Messages of Peace 15 -- 232, 2007.7.4)

Without your being aware of it, the True Parents have proclaimed the opening of the era after the coming of heaven, which will allow humanity to be liberated. Even God will be liberated and His heart set completely free. The True Parents are now taking this revolutionary truth that we must all become true parents, true teachers and true owners to all the corners of the world. (Messages of Peace 15 -- 235, 2007.7.4)

Our ancestors are the True Parents. We are following through the grace of the True Parents. Everything must be eliminated, all the way down to the spirits far below. When this becomes the second time, we can completely go over the gate. When we have gone over the three stages -- formation, growth and completion -- by this year 2000, a new law of heaven and earth will be announced so that all the scars that the True Parents have received from false parents on this earth can be taken care of. It is the law of the liberation of heaven and earth.

That is why Pledge number eight of the Family Pledge has been presented now, right? It reads: "Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges, having entered the Completed Testament Age, to achieve the ideal of God and human beings united in love through absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, and to perfect the realm of liberation and complete freedom in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and in heaven..." It is not liberation, but the realm of liberation. Your home should not go alone. You should take full responsibility for your nation and your world while on earth. (293-252, 1998.6.1)

We should give praise and thanks for eternity to True Parents for opening the era after the coming of heaven, which is unprecedented in history and which will never be repeated in the future, and for bringing about the era of the settlement of the realm of true liberation and complete inner freedom. Just as the sun rises with brilliant light in the eastern sky, heavenly fortune is now shining upon all people. The curtain of darkness that shrouded us for thousands and tens of thousands of years is lifting at last, as Heaven's will is taking root in your hearts. This is a path of destiny you cannot avoid. Therefore stand up with courage and shout out, "Whoever wants to die will live, and whoever wants to live will die!" (Messages of Peace 3 -- 59, 2006.4.10)

God's liberation is a task for humankind in saving the world, we should first liberate God. The world can be liberated only after God is liberated. Isn't that so? I am saying that we should liberate the world after we have liberated God. So let us spread the Unification Church to the ends of the earth, establish bonds of heart, and show our determination by driving a stake into the ground to melt the world with love. This is the battle we are fighting. (162-221, 1987.4.12)

The human sexual organ is sacred. It is the palace of life where the seed of life is sown, the palace of love where the flower of love is made to bloom, and the palace of lineage where the fruit of the lineage is given life. Through this absolute sexual organ, the absolute lineage, absolute love and absolute life are brought forth; and absolute harmony, absolute unity, absolute liberation and absolute tranquility are brought about. (Messages of Peace 3 -- 53, 2006.4.10)

We need to know that human liberation is God's liberation. The liberation of your families, clans and nations consoles God who sorrowed over the loss of His family, clan and nation. In my life, I will recover the lost cosmos and dissolve God's anguish. I have no wishes or thoughts for myself, except to practice absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. If asked to die, I will head straight for death. Even at the risk of my life I will not turn back.

In this way, I must fulfill God's desires and liberate Him forever from Satan. I must become the son who can liberate Him from His bondage, from the prison where He is entrapped. Only then can our piteous God, who suffers the bitter anguish of not having achieved liberation in the family, finally achieve liberation in the world and cosmos. Only then can He be restored to His position and establish His sovereignty based on the laws of the love of the family, tribe, people, nation and cosmos. (300-72, 1999.2.21)

A parent who has an unfilial child is restrained because of that child. In order to liberate that parent, the child has to be more filial than the degree of his disobedience. Moreover, he has to be recognized by the masses. In that way he can cleanse his past sins. That is the heavenly law. (The Liberation Of Heaven And Earth, 1976. 3.3, Unofficial)

You should know that a child who does not demonstrate filial piety restricts the parents. To liberate those parents, the child must display a filial piety greater than his impiety and also be officially recognized by the general public. Only then can he cleanse himself of his past sins. This is the heavenly law. (85-263, 1976.3.3)

We must perfect our families, our tribes, our nations, the world, heaven, and earth and ultimately liberate God! We must bring salvation to God. In order to ease the hurt in the parents' heart caused by unfilial children, we must be the best filial children. (283-215, 1997.4.12)

We have lost the true love that was to be created from the unity of God and human beings in absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. The first people were meant to become perfect without knowing anything about the Fall. They were to create a realm of unity with God. Yet everything was lost. That is why we must establish the realm of the unity of heaven and earth. We must dissolve all the sorrow that we caused God for not having done so. Without releasing that pain and suffering, there can be no liberation for God or for human beings. Internally and externally, I have been resolving all of that. That is why I call this the perfection of restoration. It is the completion of restoration. That is what I am proclaiming now. It is because it must be brought to a conclusion in the right way. God longed with all His heart that someone would appear and resolve these tragedies, but no such person appeared on earth. God waited and waited, looking for anyone who would take on the role of the True Parent. If someone had come forward, I am certain that God would have appeared in his dreams, carried the sun and moon to him, and showered him with lightning of joy and thunder of ecstasy from the heavens.

In this sense, it is a miracle of miracles that for the first time in history a man has indeed succeeded in attaining the position of Adam. He has secured the status of the owner of true love and received God's anointing as the True Parent of humanity. It is an amazing fact that his lifetime coincides with yours, and that you and he breathe the same air. He is the True Parent on earth, who comes to rescue fallen humanity.

I, Reverend Moon, gained the victory in that position. And on that foundation, on January 13, 2001, I dedicated to Heaven the "Coronation Ceremony for the Kingship of God." By that ceremony I liberated and released God, our vertical True Parent who has taken responsibility for the Providence of Restoration. In all of history, this was the highest and greatest blessing humanity has ever received. This victory was absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal. Through this absolute providential victory, God's body and mind are completely liberated! (Messages of Peace 1 -- 19, 2005.9.12)

Remember that the only way to inherit Heaven's lineage and establish the realm of liberation and complete release is through the Holy Marriage Blessing instituted by the True Parents. Furthermore, the Holy Marriage Blessing provides the means to establish God's ideal family and the kingdom of the peaceful, ideal world. (Messages of Peace 1 -- 29, 2005.9.12)

If you are to inherit the realm of the victory of the True Parents, you should live in absolute obedience, absolute compliance, and absolute faith. Only when you shed blood, sweat, and sacrifice everything, in total oneness of heart through which you are willing to become a living sacrifice for the True Parents, and you want to hold more love than the love of the True Parents, can the True Parents be liberated. God's realm of liberation emerges only when society becomes a place where people love more than the True Parents love mankind. Only when the True Parents have such sons and daughters, will the realm of liberation emerge in which they can praise their sons and daughters and rejoice, loving them. (266-288, 1995.1.1)

God lives in prison. How can we free Him? We must become filial sons and daughters of God, more so than the original children whom He lost. We must do better even than the original children were supposed to do had they been filial and not fallen. Even if we were to accumulate ten times as much merit in every aspect and relate to God with great filial piety, it would not be easy to bring God back to His original heart, in order that He might dwell in true freedom. Yet at an early age, I made a determination "to truly liberate God with my own hands," and I have lived accordingly throughout my life. (Public Venue, 2004.12.13)

We should be settled, by liberating the realm of the fourth Adam. The True Parents should teach you all of this before going to the spirit world. Rev. Moon practices absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience centered on the absolute family. That is why God serves that family. The eternal path of true love is connected to this. If you fail to practice absolute faith, absolute love will not take root. When the bud comes out, it should be nurtured in order to grow. For it to grow, you should invest all of your blood and flesh, and sacrifice yourself. (295-163, 1998.8.19)

In the Completed Testament Age, families should settle. This requires absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. So let us fulfill the ideal of mind and body unity and realize the realm of liberation of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and in heaven. This is the last thing to do. I am talking about the settlement of families. We should realize the realm of liberation by creating the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and in heaven. We should clean up heaven and everything else. (292-320, 1998.4.27)

Now we have reached the realm of liberation even in the spirit world. We are engaged in a movement to bring equality to the spirit world as well as on the earth. The word "peace" is inserted in all of his new organizations, including the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. (301-288, 1999.5.5)

Since we have now entered the age of liberation, the universe centering on this earth is rejoicing. How much it rejoices today! Thus, I see that from the beginning of this year until today, an atmosphere of celebration dominates. Now in everything that we try to do, heavenly fortune follows us around and helps us. People strive hard to catch this heavenly fortune, but in our case, it is following behind us and helping us. What this means is that the time has now come when God and the spirit world, our countless ancestors and good people, are mobilized to help this earth; and the age when the realm of liberation can be realized, and everything can be transformed, has arrived. (298-226, 1999.1.8)

With what are we going to liberate God? With power? With wisdom? What is the liberation of God? If they serve and attend God as the greatest, they rejoice and feel happy. The Unification Church has been going through such a course of history with me as the center until now, during which time I have been talking about resolving the bitter sorrow of God. Then, what is it? It is an effort to bring about liberation.

Even when we go into the bottom of a dumpster, the question is whether or not we have a room of joy in which God can come and stay with us. If you want to feel free, you should be in a position where you can accept any situation; nothing unpleasant should hold you back -- even a dumpster-like situation. Only then will you be liberated. If this bothers you, you will not be liberated. (181-191, 1988.10.3)

It is not that I, Rev. Moon, am liberated through God, but rather that God is liberated through me. So, we are trying to achieve on earth, everything of value that we have been seeking to regain in the spirit world from the time of the Fall. Once this is achieved, heaven and earth will be turned upside down. (292-277, 1998.4.27)

During my lifetime, everything must be liberated. Therefore, all things are in the position of being liberated. The value of liberation is truly indescribable. The realm of liberation has been established by piling up, over and over again, the merit of God's effort to separate good and evil from our ancestors throughout history. We, Blessed families, represent the realm of liberation; being in the position of having been liberated. Therefore, we are sacrificial offerings, representing the entire world of creation, from filthy objects to glorious ones. You should understand that you are standing in the position of sacrificial offerings. (280-292, 1997.2.13)

What a splendid place the realm of heart is! We cannot purchase it even with mountains of gold. Nor can we purchase it even with a diamond that is as big as the earth. That is how precious it is. It is so precious that it cannot be exchanged even for the universe. The universe becomes ours if we make a reciprocal relationship with the subject partner in the realm of heart. Even God belongs to us. How amazing it is to have the privilege of being human beings who know their own value, who have a realm of freedom and liberation in which they can stride along the cosmos as liberators, embracing everything in love and giving direction, and with whom all things of heaven and earth harmonize, and respond to their command! (210-320, 1990.12.27)

We stand in the crossroads between the history of sorrow for entanglement and the history of joy for disentanglement. We are in the realm of lamentation for our body longs for the entanglement and our mind longs for the disentanglement. We are looking at the final destination of the sorrowful history where our mind should strike our body and bring the joyful time of mind subjugating over body. Please make us never forget that we are in such a situation. Please make us never forget that we are in the realm of heavenly fortune, and in the process of restorational providence where we can liberate God's heart.

Oh, loving Father! You have suffered too long. How much have You toiled to weave us, centering on one ideology? How much have You worked to move the people of this nation by foretelling one ideology? As You established this externally, You established religion internally to connect with the standard of living goodness behind history. How many people have You sacrificed in the process of moving religion? As we hear and understand how much You have suffered and how many people You have sacrificed internally and externally, we cannot lift our heads and can feel only gratitude. (Sermons Vol. 6 -- 239, 1959.6.14)

The only way to liberate God from His sorrow is by becoming a son of filial piety to take over His agony, or by becoming like a wife who takes over the agony of her husband. (God's Warning II -- 129, 1980.4.27)

Heavenly Father is a being of han. He is filled with sorrow. He cannot reveal or express this sorrowful heart. He did not cause His deeply etched sorrow. It has been caused by humankind. God has led human history in hope of seeing the day when His heart of han can be liberated. Still bearing this han, He has worked the providence through establishing different ages and has continuously endeavored to pioneer the future. We should realize that such a Heavenly Father exists.

Knowing as we now do that the will of God was an effort to establish an individual who could liberate such a han and also keep that individual alive, we should all have desperate hearts in this time of the historic last days to allow Heavenly Father to bless all of us and this race of people to bring forth the day of the liberation of God's Han. We should never forget that God has so much han, and that it is our role as historically indebted humankind to resolve God's sorrow through attendance.

You should be aware that even now Heavenly Father is going through all sorts of difficulties to save humankind, to liberate the han of humankind, and to eliminate all of humankind's sorrow. When an individual can feel that, he will cease to take the old path. He will liquidate it and reorganize his life. It is time to feel such passion in our hearts. When we are unable to feel it, we should be prepared to meet the sorrowful day of judgment.

We should remind ourselves of the heavenly mission we bear as sons and daughters. We are to bear the sorrowful heart of Heavenly Father, who bears sorrow even at this moment. Side by side with God, we are to liquidate this world of han. We have to be aware of our responsibilities and obligations as the descendants of fallen humankind. We must fight with our lives so that we can liberate the sorrowful heart of Heavenly Father.…If you were able to liquidate all of history's han and the many hidden tales of Heaven, how would you approach this question? With what determination, in what form, and with what attitude? If Heavenly Father relates to humankind and cannot yet resolve the deep han that dwells in His heart in spite of His historic pleas and efforts, and that has been the reality, then who will appease His sorrowful heart? We have to realize that the cause of the existence of such a han originated not from Heavenly Father but from humankind.

The history of han will repeat itself over and over again. It will continue to be separated, age after age, from God's dispensation, if humankind fails to understand their role as the ones responsible to resolve His han and fails to fulfill that mission.

As long as God exists, He will continue to search for the one who will stop the flow of sorrowful history and liquidate the han of Heavenly Father and humanity. God has fought until now to find and establish such an individual. It is certain that He has dominated history so that such an individual will be able to attend Heaven. It is time for us to reconsider and remind ourselves of this point again. Heavenly Father has promised to send such an individual. Heavenly Father has continuously fought to establish that individual. He has also suffered much repeated pain to keep that individual alive.

Yet Heavenly Father still holds onto a heart of sorrow, as no one in the course of history ever attended that individual. No one ever held onto that individual. Our sole destiny is to fight on and follow this course of God's Han. We should think about this again. This age is filled with han, and we ourselves are also filled with han. Much as we would like to eliminate the han of history, the han of this age, and our han, we are not able to do so.

Our destiny lies where we merge with the one individual who can take responsibility for all of the han. We say we love God. God has loved humanity for six thousand years. The greatest sadness is that which is felt by a loving heart; the greatest pain is that which is felt by a loving heart. The greatest happiness is that which is felt by a loving heart.

We say that Heavenly Father is love, but has He ever felt happiness? No. We have to understand that in dealing with fallen humanity and in loving humankind, Heavenly Father has never seen a day of happiness. We thought that God was the God of love and that He was always enraptured in joy, happiness and peace, but that is not so. Humanity today has to realize this.

No one on earth understands that the greater God's desire to save humankind, the greater the pain in His heart, since He possesses a heart of love. No one understands the pain of Heaven deep within that heart of love. Humankind knows that God is love and that He is the subject of love. Humankind does not know the heart behind the bloody history which God has suffered for humankind.

What must believers realize in the last days? As we have known the God of love, we have to know the sorrow that saturates Heavenly Father's heart. We should know the pain that fills Him. The moment has come to realize this.

What is the han of Heavenly Father? It is not that no one believes in God. It is not that there are no people who realize God is there. If the God of love does have han, it is that no one understands the sadness and pain that fill His heart. You have to realize that such is the sorrow of Heavenly Father. That is His han.

What kind of people should we become to end the sorrow of humanity and receive the last days that will liberate the han of Heavenly Father? We should be people who can carry the heart of sadness and pain in God's place, and say, "Please love humanity." We have to start with this attitude. Instead of being concerned about ourselves and asking God to love us, we should think of humanity and ask Him to love humanity. If there is an individual who can live in accordance with such a heart, that person is testifying about the heavenly sorrow to this world, and he or she has experienced the pain of Heavenly Father…

In this time of the consummation of history, we should repudiate the history full of han. Going beyond this world and sorrowful humanity, we have to experience the sadness and pain that lie deep in the heart of Heavenly Father. You have to realize that now is the time to keep all the historic tragedies and deep resentment in your hearts, and become God's sons and daughters who have the determination to make an all-out attack on countless satans, the cause of this han.

We then have to experience the sad hearts of God's representatives of the providence throughout the six thousand years of history. We have to be saddened in place of all people who live in this world today. If we cannot possess a burning heart and experience the han, pain and sadness to liberate God's heartfelt indignation and the historic indignation, we cannot stand as the hope of the last days for which Jesus and God long. We cannot go forward toward the position of the bride.

Among the believers of today, the last days, one who lives a true life of faith will unknowingly face the challenges of experiencing numerous sorrows of heart. He must overcome such tribulations. The last days is the time to liquidate all causes of the han of history, the han of the age, and the han of the future. Those of us who are seeking this last day should be able to cry in tears along with sorrowful history, to cry with the age, and to cry with the future. God's happiness will be introduced by people who would forget their happiness and stand in a position to have no choice but to go forward, bearing the responsibility for humankind's sadness and pain.

It might be a different story if they were a people who knew the sorrow of the world. It might be different if they understand the pain of this world. Not knowing the sadness and pain of this world, they cannot dominate it.

If you want to become heavenly sons and daughters, then you have to rise as the pioneers of the liberation movement to liberate God and humanity from their sorrows, representing all humankind over whom God has wept. You have to arm yourself with a mental and ideological weapon to charge against the enemies as soldiers in the heavenly battle. You have to go forth and arm yourself not with a selfish ideology, but with an ideology that can embrace the cosmos. You have to realize that is the only way for you to become heavenly sons and daughters.

Now Heavenly Father has opened the door of providential restoration, and He is looking for the individual representative, the family representative, the representative of the race, and the national representative among the believers of the last days. Where are such individuals? Such an individual, such a family, such a nation, and such a world as God seeks are nowhere to be found. One should not be self-centered. That is why, even when you do hold onto your life-consciousness, do not forget to possess the life-consciousness of the world and heavenly law. Such awareness is needed. It is foolish to live according to the awareness derived from one's limited experience as if it were all the value in life. History will laugh at such a person. This age and heavenly law will also laugh. World-consciousness exists, transcending our awareness. Heavenly-consciousness exists, transcending world-awareness. Therefore, you should open your heart and be newly born so that you can transcend world-awareness, go over the hills of pain and suffering felt through heavenly-awareness and finally say, "Heavenly Father, please receive us."

Jesus walked such a path. He passed through the path of sorrow and pain. When he encountered the new ideology, the new breath of life, and the force of new awareness, he was able to overcome the realm of death and be resurrected. Likewise, you should realize that one can rise as a glorious citizen and glorious son or daughter for whom God is looking in this last day era of the Second Coming only if you are a person who brings the bright light of the cosmos to this world, which is struggling to remove its past historic mask, and establish the new self-awareness. Only from this position can one be qualified as someone who has passed through the historic han, someone who has resolved God's Han, and can rise holding Heavenly Father's happiness in this age.

When we once again look back and think about God's position, His sorrow was to see His beloved sons and daughters being persecuted. What, then, is the purpose of Heavenly Father leading in such a way, bearing the han of having His beloved son Jesus die on the cross and the han of having so many believers suffer death throughout the two thousand years of history since Jesus' crucifixion? It was for us.

It was for us that Heavenly Father has endeavored until now; it was for us that He has walked the path of han. It was for the world. Therefore, you have to realize that you are indebted to Heavenly Father and that you are being led by Him.

You yourself have to become the prince of sadness and the prince of pain to look at the people of this world today and horizontally experience Heavenly Father's heart, which He has been feeling throughout history. You can then say to Him, "I have come to You, transcending all sorrow and pain. Heavenly Father, please be glorified through me." We should have the determination to live and die with humanity, breaking down the hills of death in this reality, breaking down the hills of pain and sorrow and overcoming all of today's tribulations so that we may experience heavenly joy.

Thus, we should become a person who can say to God, "Father, look at me and be pleased. Humanity, look at me and be pleased. Cosmos, be pleased in looking at me." Only when such an individual appears can God's Han be resolved.

We have to realize that if we can become such a person and are able to attend God as my Father whom I want to see, receive and live with, then the han, sorrow and pain of God and history can be resolved. You have to realize that only by becoming such a person can you become the sons and daughters of the unified palace. (Sermons Vol. 6 -- 173, 1959.5.24)

No matter how harsh a storm blows when you are out on the front line, you are to penetrate it. Even on the way to the cross, you must clench your teeth and go forward. Likewise, the right path is to go the way God desires. Those who have not experienced sorrow from that kind of situation will not understand through mere explanations. If you shed tears and cry out, "Father" in that kind of situation, then you will understand the painful effort of the Father who has been bearing the historical cross. You will also understand that it is because of God's han (resentment) that we are unable to become true filial sons and daughters before the Father. When God says, "Oh, it was My hope to meet sons and daughters who can become My true filial sons and daughters here. Oh, thank you," then, at that place, for the first time, the position of filial sons and daughters, loyal servants and virtuous women is filled. (15-319)

Christianity has made unknown sacrifices in the course to establish its current worldwide foundation. The pitiable screams of those who were constantly sacrificed and offered on the altar of martyrdom permeate Christian history; they have been heard in every corner of the world. We should know that this bloody altar still exists; the historical sorrow is right in front of our eyes. We have the solemn, historical task to resolve this sorrow. We must liberate God and liberate Christianity. (210-360, 1990.12.27)

What is the meaning of history? The liberation of God is possible only when the condition of Satan's false accusation is completely removed through unity with True Parents. Without the condition of Satan's false accusation being removed, it is impossible to liberate God. (137-269)

What is the mission of the Savior? It is to liberate God and judge Satan. (57-130)

If loving parents have a child who does not show filial piety, their hearts cannot be liberated until they see that child rise to the position where he can freely fulfill the parents' expectation. In the same way, God created Adam and Eve as His greatest partners of love. They are His partners of love. Vertically they are in a parent-child relationship with God and horizontally they were created to become husband and wife. Thus, God intended to practice all the ideals of love in heaven and on earth. Yet God lost everything due to the Fall. Even God ended up being confined. (210-308, 1990.12.27)

One's portion of responsibility for liberation is to liberate the realm of heart. God must be liberated, and so must the Parents. How painful it must be for God to be in the position of having to relate to evil parents ever since they emerged! So we must liberate True Parents and God. You must be such children of filial piety. True Parents are still going through hardships… Are you trying to live the good life, leaving the Heavenly Parent to suffer in misery? Are you thinking how to have your children live the good life? How can you seek a comfortable life? Can you think of doing that? (148-222, 1986.10.9)

Not even Satan can accuse God for His love in trying to save humankind. There is no rule preventing forgiveness for the one who repents through the love of his parents. Hell must also be liberated through this kind of heart. That is the way of a true filial child, isn't it? Therefore, we in the Unification Church speak of saving even hell. Why? It is because God is such a being. (62-50, 1972.9.10)

In the next world, murderers, victims and all sorts of people are gathered. There are people brandishing knives and seeking revenge. There are so many walls which divide them. So, there are times when evil spirits go to the descendants of their enemies and cause sudden death by an accident in order to bring them to the spirit world. These things must all be resolved. For that to happen, they must first be resolved on earth. To do that, something better must be offered. It can not be done without offering something that is better than the death of an enemy, something that is better than that which gave rise to their resentment.

What can we use to liberate the spirit world and God? Since such relationships were created by the ancestors of humankind who messed up the spirit world, their descendants must now compensate for their mistakes. If children wish to practice filial piety, they should pay back their parents' debts. In that sense, you should create a movement to demolish the walls blocking your ancestors in the spirit world. When you do that, they will come looking to teach you. (191-204, 1989.6.24)

During their lives the True Parents' must liberate God by following the path to perfection that is even hundreds of times more severe than Adam's original course. They must do so with a fully devoted heart that surpasses even God's love.

After completing that path they must stand in the position of filial sons and daughters in the family, patriots in the nation, saints in the world, and God's divine sons and daughters, and thus inherit everything from Him. In order for us to accomplish this, we must offer everything.

My conclusion is that, once we have offered all those things, God can bequeath everything to us with this eternal victory for all generations. Even the eternal God could not ask for more. He will then be able to exercise global, victorious authority, overcoming His anguish over the Fall. Satan's defiled lineage should be eliminated completely, leaving no trace. (302-246, 1996.6.14)

Who will liberate God? Filial children resolved to fulfill their duties of loyalty and filial piety with utmost devotion must appear and bear all responsibility for His anguish associated with the cross. Such sons and daughters must appear. Understand that, if we fail this, God will not be liberated. (101-255, 1978.11.1)

In conclusion, God wants absolute families who have absolute loyalty and filial piety. Until now, absolute loyalty and filial piety have never existed. Without a global foundation of absolutely divine children, namely God's children, God cannot descend upon the earth. Alone, God cannot do anything providential on the earth. This is why we refer to Him as a sorrowful God deserving of pity.

It is an amazing fact that European members who follow me are realizing such families for the first time. Everyone without exception desires loyalty and filial piety. Until now God has had no other option but to be in a miserable state over this fallen world. How can we liberate God? It all depends on how we build the family, the tribe, the people, the nation and the world. (297-202, 1998.11.20)

I have fulfilled many tasks and invested much. However, I do not invest to earn more money. Neither do I work for prestige or glory. I bleed, sweat and shed tears merely to liberate God from His grief and agony and to realize true peace for mankind. If man does not liberate God from His sorrow and misery, and return joy and glory to Him on the levels of the individual, family, society, nation and world, genuine peace for mankind will never exist. I have thoroughly realized this point and personally put it into practice. (198-162, 1990.2.1)

Yet, that is what the Christians are doing. Like beggars, they have been calling out to the prince of God, "Oh, my bridegroom, please come." They are in rags calling to Jesus, "Please come here and live with me." They have done nothing to liberate Jesus from his deep resentment and help him to complete his purpose. If they do not liberate Jesus from his resentment, can they liberate God, who sent Jesus? No, they cannot. They cannot liberate God; they cannot liberate Jesus; hence, they cannot liberate the world created by God. (Blessing Pt. 1 -- 52)

Today, many religious leaders prostrate themselves and pray so as to receive blessings. I, however, never prayed for the purpose of receiving blessings. I am an offering. The providence in the Old Testament Age was for people to reach toward God through sacrificing things. In the New Testament Age it was to seek good parents through sacrificing sons and daughters. In the Completed Testament Age it has been to liberate God through sacrificing True Parents' family. We are to welcome our original parents on earth and live for tens of thousands of years with them. (True Parents -- 136)

The one who has gone through the worst misery, injustice and indignation is God. Religion is to liberate God from such a miserable situation. (The Way -- 37)

You have to also go to the world and give this shot to all the people, immunizing them. How can anyone who claims he is going to liberate God be easy going and lazy and sloppy? He has to fight and find the place with the most hardship. Do you have the necessary equipment now? You are the doctors and nurses who are going to give the injections of love to God and mankind. Even though people don't like it and accuse you, you have to give it regardless. When babies go to a doctor and get inoculated, they cry and fight. Nevertheless, the doctor has to give the shot. People may not like you giving them this shot, but later they'll appreciate it. (God's Will -- 444, 1978.4.16)

What does the True Parent do? By gaining victory for all things they enter the deepest place in God's heart to liberate His bitter pain and establish that realm of victory on the earth. (235-21, 1992.8.24)

What is the cosmic ideology? Our ideology is superior and one step further advanced than communism? Its purpose is not only to liberate all mankind but also God. Therefore, without heart, it cannot be done. Since parents are connected to children with chains of the heart, unless children are liberated, parents cannot be liberated. Therefore, let us create a history of heart. Let us establish the tradition of heart. Let us create a world of heart. We should be different from others. Let us liberate God. (55-50)

The way Rev. Moon goes is an adventure, because he has this responsibility to shorten history, even by one day, in order to liberate God's anguish and accomplish God's Will. I have been walking this path, giving all of myself, all of my body and heart. It is just like throwing all of myself into the Atlantic Ocean and throwing myself into the midst of the mountains. No one should leave a historical dirty spot on such a path. It is a holy path. It is holy! (212-57)

Our marriage ceremony is to liberate God's grief caused by Adam and Eve's fall and fulfill what Jesus could not, which is to pass through the standard of the bridegroom and bride. This is explained clearly in the Divine Principle.

Today, you have not yet made the absolute connection with the True Parents. In order to make that connection, there is the Unification Church Blessing. (Blessing Pt. 1 -- 239)

If there is something that fallen mankind can be grateful for, it to be reintroduced to the Father we lost. If there is something Heaven can rejoice over, it is in finding the lost children. If an individual appears who can reestablish these lost relationships, he could liberate God's historical effort. (Sermons Vol. 7 -- 34, 1959.7.12)

We have to liberate God dissolving His resentment. Even a young man, who takes the responsibility to remove a tiny obstacle offensive to the eye or ear, and who has a heart of serving God as the majestic, absolute being that can govern with the authority derived of freedom for all nations as the heavenly kingdom of freedom and peace, will truly be a great man. The future world will take on a new direction owing to this young man. If you vow to be like him, no matter how ragged you may look, you will not appear ugly. Infinite hope dwells there. That figure will become the foundation for God's hope and happiness. (47-79, 1971.8.19)

God is a pitiable God, a lonely God, a God of unspeakable sorrow. In order to liberate God, become a standard bearer, become a soldier in the front lines, and even though you bleed and receive direct hits, even though you bleed and collapse, with the conviction that you could all fall at once for the liberation of the nation, if the ranks of heroes going to bring the world into oneness get bigger and bigger, that is the starting point of God's happiness. (64-286)

Through the principle of indemnity, we must liberate God from all of the sorrowful circumstances, pain, and suffering that He endured throughout history. This is how we understand what unfilial children we have been and how much suffering we have caused God by our misdeeds. This is how we become true filial children who can attend their Parent with the filial piety that outdoes our past lack of filial piety. Thus, in serving God, we must understand the toils of our Parent who sacrificed everything and made such effort through history. Step by step, gradually, we have come into the age where we can clear away past mistakes. So we must attend God, and at least from today, take upon ourselves the hardships of God, so that He can be completely liberated. (144-274, 1986.4.25)

My own pain and grief are nothing. God has not been able to fulfill His role as God. You must understand that God's bitter tears which melt the marrow of His bones and His bloodstains which spread throughout the course of history are crying out from the ground. I have been doing this work because I know that the mission remains to liberate God from His anguish. (137-175, 1986.1.1)

We must liberate God by becoming children who are victorious over the Fall. (65-100, 1972.11.13)

We should know that for six thousand years, God has sought people thirsting for faith and hope and burning with love who say, "God is in shackles on account of humankind, including me; God was accused by Satan because of me; Jesus died on the cross for me; the Holy Spirit went through a bloody history of struggle on my behalf. God, please give me the strength. I will bring rest and liberation to the Father. I will also liberate Jesus and the Holy Spirit." (7-162, 1959.8.30)

To whom will He appeal about His miserable situation as a Parent in the struggle to find His lost children? Before the children come forward and resolve this, God can neither alleviate the bitter sorrow in His own heart nor remove the nail that pierces it. Who will take out that nail and liberate God's bitter heart, which must be released with flesh and blood through the healing tears of love? We should know that God's liberation precedes our own liberation. We should know that this is the path to the ultimate liberation sought by people of faith. (187-273, 1989.2.11)

You have no idea how much I have invested for the sake of the world. How much blood and how many tears do you think I have shed? How much sweat? And how much do you think I have sighed deeply? I did not do this in order to eat well or obtain worldly success, but so that I could liberate the earthly world, heavenly world, and God. There has never been someone like this in all of history -- only myself. There has been no one except the True Parents. This is not just a concept, but is my personal background. Since by establishing the sphere of truth on the stage of actual battle, I have been building a foundation on a still higher level; I have reached the stage where all nations can solemnly bow their heads. (210-363, 1990.12.27)

God is not looking for any one particular race of people. He is looking for that filial son and daughter that He can love completely. He wants to be proud of them in front of all humankind. God moved the world to recover one people and set up Israel to recover one people. He then sorted out that one people to recover one family, and sorted out that one family to recover one person.

Recovering this one person is equivalent to recovering the world, and this person must be the filial child with the heart to dissolve all God's historical anguish. Only the emergence of such a truly filial son renders it possible for evil people to atone for their sins. (10-239, 1960.10.16)

Why do I weave together the strands of history in making such shocking proclamations or saying things to spur you on? This is God's situation, and it is not yet resolved. He has not been able to resolve the bitter sorrow in His heart. True Parents have not been able to resolve the bitter sorrow in their hearts.

Not being able to fulfill the path of the son of filial piety in front of God in my youth is my own bitter sorrow! Not being able to have the honor of being a patriot because I could not gain God's nation is my bitter sorrow! Not being able to fulfill the duty of a saint representing all nations is my sorrow! Not being able to have the victorious supremacy of heaven and earth and to liberate God as a divine son is my sorrow! These deep sorrows still remain. (264-63, 1994.10.9)

People have not known that God, who has embraced the fallen world, is in sorrow. When we think that our Father, God, has been burdened by such painful and miserable circumstances, we must know that it is the responsibility of the people who have to be saved on earth today to keep the dutiful way of the filial child who lives in such a sorrowful situation that he cannot hold back his tears even if he has to crawl on the ground wailing for ten thousand years…. It is a serious matter. Who else is teaching such things? (283-215, 1997.4.12)

Without human beings, God cannot be liberated through love. This means that through parents having filial children, their realm of heart is liberated; through having patriots, kings are liberated; through having saints, the world-level president is liberated; and through having divine sons and daughters accomplish everything as His object partners of love by fulfilling the way of the filial child, God can be liberated. Only when this is achieved can God be liberated. This is an amazing message. (283-173, 1997.4.8)

The Unification Church is a force for the liberation for God. We are not just liberating the world. Bringing liberation to the world is easy. The world will be liberated when people unite, but God's liberation requires the unity of the realm of heart. We must have the Principle and a system of thought that can unify the realm of love, mobilize the spirit world, and build bridges of heart on earth. This is the most fearsome and difficult revolution. Liberating humanity is easy, but liberating God is difficult. (136-285, 1985.12.29)

I have walked the path of restoration through indemnity, because without going this way liberation does not come and because we cannot separate from Satan amid peace and comfort. (148-168, 1986.10.8)

Only when someone who can dominate Satan appears will the spiritual and physical worlds be liberated. (161-243, 1987.2.22)

To liberate God, therefore, we must liberate the spirit world. (166-78, 1987.5.28)

I asked God, "I am sure there are many things that You like, but what is it that You like most?" He answered, "It is liberation." His answer was simple: "What I like most is liberation." Since I knew the great and bitter pain that was entrenched in heaven and earth, I had to comfort God even when I was vomiting blood. Who could ever understand the bitter reality of my position as the True Parent, in which I could not pray, "I am about to die. God, please save me"? Nobody knew of this. Only God. Even though many people follow the Unification Church, none of them is one with my thought. All of you must understand this. A substandard Unificationist community cannot stand in the sphere of liberation. I know that the behavior of those who have received the Blessing is nowadays like that of the devil's cousins. To this day, I, Rev. Moon, have walked a lonely path as an individual. Though it has been a lonely path, I know God more deeply than anyone else does. In history, many lonely people cursed their circumstances while asking for blessings. Yet, centering on God's grieving heart, I did not think like those people. Instead, I said, "God, do not worry." That is a different way. I am not a man to retreat due to personal trials. A man who pledges to die only after overcoming the trials of the world and liberating God cannot write a letter of surrender during that individual course. He cannot be cowardly. Even though my wife opposed me, my children opposed me and my parents opposed me, I cut them off in order to walk this path. I walked the path in spite of opposition by my nation of 40 million or even 60 million people. (175-257, 1988.4.24)

When I ask God, "God, are You not this kind of person? The God I know is like this." God would take my hand and weep profusely, asking, "How did you find that out, my son?" When God hears this He will weep. Then how loud the sound of His weeping will be! God knows that this situation cannot continue for a thousand more years. Thus, He wipes away His tears, stops His weeping and says, "My son!" You must understand God's need for such a son and daughter. (176-263, 1988.5.11)

Unless a man goes over that difficult mountain pass of indemnity while calmly and happily attending and comforting God, the kingdom of peace on earth will not appear. Such a representative and public person is lonely. When somebody stands up and says, "Rev. Moon did such things as this…," I feel like bursting into tears. Even though I am an old man of seventy whose tears should have all dried up, I harbor a loneliness that cannot stop the flow of tears of sorrow. You must never forget that there is such a parent. The time of elimination is coming. I am saying these things so that, by following the principle of resurrection, the Blessed families will avoid being caught by Satan and can be liberated. (216-204, 1991.3.31)

Please become true princes and princesses who live in attendance to God as your True Parent, for He is the Peace King of the multitudes. Let us build the everlasting peace kingdom by attending the True Parents, who have become the King and Queen of Peace in Heaven and on Earth. Let us build the world of eternal liberation and freedom, where there is no need for a Savior, Messiah or Lord at his second coming, and fulfill the path of a true, devoted child, a patriot, a saint, and a member of the family of God's sons and daughters. In so doing, let us inherit True Parents' victory, their completion of the restoration through indemnity of the realm of three generations, that we may perfect the original world as it would have been but for the Fall! Let us establish model ideal families to bring the complete settlement of the universal, ideal realm of liberation and complete inner freedom. This will be the kingdom of goodness in which we can enjoy absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal peace and prosperity. It will become the homeland of universal peace, exalted in praise for all eternity! (Messages of Peace 7 -- 99, 2006.8.31)
